TBED 5390 General Linguistics


The course examines the anture of a language relevant to prospective language teachers. Students are guided through the basic techniques for analyzing phonological, morphological, and syntactic structures, as well as multidisciplinary approaches to language as a system. The course also explores the language acquisition and cognition, language in its interactional settings, and language in social and historic contexts.
