HIST 2050 US: Through Reconstruction The first semester of an introduction to United States history, from the time of the European conquest of the Americas to the reconstruction of the nation after the Civil War. Recent approaches and techniques – social history, women’s history, African-American history, working- class history – are incorporated to permit new perspectives on the nation’s past.
