HIST 3350 Science, Technology, and Society This course covers selected topics in the history of science and technology, with special emphasis on the period from the Scientific Revlolution to the present. Topics include the Copernican revolution; Darwinian revolution; industrial revolution; the origins of the social sciences; quantum mechanics; the computer and information age; and issues related to the ongoing revolution in biotechnology. Students have the opportunity to delve into themes related to the intersection between science, technology, social values, and human behavior across select national, cultural, political, and economic contexts. Prerequisite(s): HIST 1010 OR HIST 1020 OR HIST 1030 OR HIST 1040 OR HIST 1050 Credits: 3.0
