POL 3250 Constitutional Law: Civil Liberties and Civil Rights


Analysis of the concepts and problems associated with the exercise and interpretation of the Bill of Rights and the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. Leading decisions of the United States Supreme Court are analyzed and discussed with special attention given to such issues as freedom of speech, press, assembly, religion, privacy, and security, the right to a fair trial, the rights of the accused, due process, and equal protection of the laws. Prerequisite(s): POL 1100  OR POL 1200
