SPM 3700 Risk Management in Sport and Recreation This course provides sport management students with the knowledge and skills essential to the development and management of risk in sport and recreation. This course also delivers a comprehensive resource for those in charge of the responsibility to provide for the safety of participants and spectators in sport settings. This course covers a range of safety issues, including sport facility, finance in sport, media, event, lightning, heat illness, playground safety, drug testing, and emergency action plans. Sport Management students receive clear and detailed explanations on issues to consider before making decisions on risk management.
