BIO 7000 Independent Study

Provides students an opportunity for research experience. A faculty sponsor must be selected, and a written proposal submitted to and approved by the Biology Graduate Committee prior to registration. Requirements include a written report and an oral examination. Periodic consultation with the instructor/advisor is mandatory. Prerequisite(s): A course involving research or self-directed reading. under the guidance of a faculty member. The faculty mentor reviews the preparation of a research proposal that must be submitted to and approved by the Biology Graduate Committee prior to registration.
