ARTS 1800 Digital Methods ARTS 1800 is the introduction to the fundamental principles of digital technology in art and design. Students will gain practical understanding of hardware, software, internet technologies and computer file organization. Topics such as saving, printing, scanning, computer systems and preferences - as well as introductory look at the Adobe software suite will be introduced. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of file formats in order to archive work on external drives and internet portfolio sites. Students will continue to explore basic principles of design using digital technology - and expand their understanding of visual concepts and the creative process. Credits: 3.0
