SPAN 3390 The Modern Literature of Spanish America

The course studies the trajectory of Latin American literature from Modernismo to the present. Emphasis is given to the “ismos” of the turn of the century, the “novelas de la tierra,” “indigenismo,” “novelas de la revolucion,” and the contemporary novel among others. Taught in Spanish.
