PSY 7012 Pre-Doctoral Internship The Pre-Doctoral Internship course is offered concurrently with the doctoral internship, which is completed at an off-site location. The primary purpose of this course is to promote student adaptation from the doctoral program at William Paterson to internship, and from internship to workplace. Internship is a full time, 12-month experience (30-40 hours per week), including client contact and supervision hours. The doctoral internship is completed under the supervision of experienced and licensed clinical psychologists. It provides students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in order to achieve the professional competence that will be required for licensure and independent practice.
