PBHL 5000 Social and Behavioral Foundations of Public Health


This course addresses the foundational aspects of the social and behavioral sciences relevant to public health practice in general and health justice in specific. It introduces students to the strengths and limitations of key social, cultural, and behavior theories, frameworks, and models utilized in the development of ethical, evidence-based interventions to improve individual and population health. Students will learn to identify and analyze population health needs and interventions at different levels of influence.
