PBHL 5300 Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods

This course provides an introduction to the different stages and different methods of qualitative health research, including the various advantages and limitations of said methods. Students will learn how to complete a qualitative research project from beginning to end. The particulars of research ethics as they pertain to qualitative public health research will be explored. The central goal of this course is to prepare students to design and conduct qualitative research in a public health setting.
