EDLP 6200 Teacher Leadership I

This graduate course is designed to provide candidates with in-depth study of the Teacher Leader Model Standards consisting of seven domains. Specifically, this course will focus on the collaborative standards described in domains I, III, and VI. Domain I - Fostering a Collaborative Culture to Support Educator Development and Student Learning, Domain III - Promoting Professional Learning for Continuous Improvement, and Domain VI - Improving Outreach and Collaboration with Families and Community. Additionally, this course requires candidates to engage in a minimum of 30 hours of internship activities to gain varied experiences as a curriculum coordinator, instructional coach, teacher facilitator, and mentor in a school setting. Candidates will demonstrate competency based on Teacher Leader Model Standards-aligned assessments pertinent to domains I, III, and VI. Prerequisite(s): Adivisor’s Approval
