HIST 3120 The Reformation Martin Luther’s challenge to the Catholic Church in 1517 led to 150 years of religious reformations and wars in Europe, and Christian evangelization around the world. This course examines the origins of the reformation movements (Lutheran, Calvinist, radical, and Catholic) and assesses the impact on European society, culture, and politics during the early modern period. This is a writing intensive course. Credits: 3.0
