MGT 4510 Project Management Analytics


This course providers an in-depth analysis of project management planning and implementation. Project management is critical to sustainable economic growth and competitive advantage. Students will learn about the development of projects and understand the importance of projects for constant innovation and developing new products and services. This course will focus on providing students with a powerful set of tools that improve their ability to plan, implement, and manage activities to accomplish specific objectives. Students will also learn that project management is more than just a set of tools. A portion of the course will focus on building collaborative relationships with diverse people and skillsets. Specific topics to be covered include the application of big data and business analytics in helping project managers assess and select the appropriate projects for their organizations. An in-depth analysis of the planning and control elements of any organization.  Includes student development of plans and control systems, and development of student familiarity with some important planning and control techniques.  Involves both systems and behavioral aspects of the work involved in planning and control activities.

  Prerequisite(s): MATH 1170   AND MGT 2000   ANDECON 2100   AND MGT 3500
