POL 2220 Ethics and the Public Sector This course will be an exploration of the major traditions and ideas from ethical and political theory that apply to the relation between the state and society as well as the duties and obligations of politics, the state, socal policy, public servants, and so on to society and the public. The course will investigate ideas derived from classical and modern sources and seek to give to the student a sense of the ethical and moral dilemmas facing the interface between the government and state on the one hand and the public or civil society on the other. Prerequisite(s): POL 1100 or POL 1200 Credits: 3.0
