SPAN 1100 Basic Spanish I

The course introduces the basic elements of Spanish to develop Novice Mid skills according to the ACTFL Proficiency Standards in speaking, writing, reading and listening comprehension. Additionally, the course will expand the student’s ability to make comparisons between the artifacts and sociocultural practices of their own culture and those of Spanish-speaking communities, both local and global. Students can only receive a grade higher than a C- to pass this course.

Prerequisite(s): Studnet must take the spanish placement exam.
