SPC 3410 Numeracy for Individuals with Exceptionalities Numeracy is the ability to effectively use the mathematics required to meet the general demands of life at home and at work, and for participation in community and civic life. Numeracy is a fundamental component of learning across all areas of the curriculum. This course is designed to provide candidates with knowledge of the best practices and interventions for teaching numeracy skills when working with students with diverse needs and abilities, including those with disabilities, in a variety of educational settings.
Prerequisites
• 3.0 GPA; 60 credits; passing score on the PRAXIS Core Academic Skills for Educators
• CIEE 3290 Mathematics Methods and Assessments for Teaching K-6 OR Secondary Education Major Credits: 3.0
