ENG 3560 Literature and Medicine In this course, students will explore how humans have experienced, interpreted, and represented disease, illness, health, and wellness through literature and film from a variety of world cultures. Students will investigate the historical and social contexts of illness and health, and the ways that belief systems, tradition, and culture construct our understanding of health and illness, as well as the meanings we assign to disease, illness, disability, health, and well-being in world literature.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 1500 Credits: 3.0
