PHIL 3300 Ethics in the Professions


This course approaches the topic of ethics by examining different ethical paradigms and major case studies across a variety of professions and disciplines. Beginning with a general introduction to ethical theory, this course will move to study the standards of professionalism in business, the media, medicine, pharmaceutical research, the academy, and government, interrogating the role of technology and the ethical questions that arise along the way. This course is designed to train students to be able to evaluate ethical situations both at the level of the individual professional and at the level of professions. (This course is Technology Intensive)
 
  Prerequisite(s):  Any PHIL 1000 level course
