MGT 3380 Decision Modeling and Analysis This course provides an in-depth analysis of decision modeling tools to support managerial actions. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive conceptual understanding of the role management science plays in the decision-making process. The focus is on models that are widely used in all industries, business operations, and supply chain management. Topics covered in this course include queuing theory, Monte Carlo simulation, game theory, decision making under uncertainty and risk, and decision trees. The advances in computing processing and artificial intelligence have driven the application of decision models in manipulating big data and business analytics tools. The course will introduce game theory as a theoretical framework to conceive social situations among independent and competing actors in a strategic setting to produce optimal decision-making.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 1170 AND MGT 2000 AND ECON 2100 Credits: 3.0
