ARTS 4855 Game Design II


Game Design II focuses on advanced Game Design and Animation techniques. The course expands upon multi-faceted principles from Game Design I along with a multidisciplinary approach to gaming concepts and processes used to create successful computer-animated video games from start to finish. The skillsets gained in 2D animation, 3D animation, and the Game Design I course are further refined and utilized to develop a large-scale gaming project. Students will create advanced game mechanics, level design, and further their knowledge in interactive storytelling. They will learn how to create intelligent AI, complex user interface design, and how to optimize their assets and lighting for real-time gameplay. Students will be charged an additional Studio Art Fee when enrolling in this course.
