SWK 3950 Professional Orientation

This is a professional development course that prepares students for jobs in the social work field. The course enhances career readiness by: (1) reviewing core competencies and ethical principles; (2) surveying the range of career paths social workers can take along with required credentials; (3) promoting habits and skills important for all social work practitioners; and (4) helping students write resumes and prepare for interviews. In so doing, the course prepares students to secure fieldwork placements and strengthens their identities as professional social workers
