TBED 6400 Content Area Instruction and Assessment in English as a Second Language

This course focuses on designing instruction that supports the teaching of English as a second language (ESL) through academic content areas (math, science, social studies, technology). The course also examines the role of assessment in content-based instruction. Students will select, adapt, and develop instructional materials and classroom assessments that promote both subject area knowledge and language acquisition.
