PBHL 5400 Environmental and Occupational Health


This course introduces and explores major environmental and occupational threats to human health and will provide a framework for understanding how human health may be affected by environmental insults. It will describe the role of the public health community and federal and state regulatory agencies for controlling and preventing environmental health problems. The U.S. approach to regulating environmental and occupational exposures will be examined. There will also be a focus on environmental health problems at the community level with an emphasis on disparities and environmental justice.
