TBED 6420 Cross-linguistic considerations of L2 Development

This course introduces bilingual teachers to core linguistic concepts relevant to the acquisition of English, the target language, and aims to increase metalinguistic awareness of languages in contact. The course considers these issues in the context of cross-linguistic differences between an English Language Learner’s native language and English, and prepares students to identify and develop materials and activities to facilitate acquisition.
