ARTS 3230 Chinese Ink Painting The course’s emphasis is on cross-cultural study of Chinese Art. It is an application of Chinese artistic
theories in artistic practice. Emphasis is on painting materials, techniques, and a cultivation of specific
artistic tastes in the appreciation of the Chinese Painting. The course enables students to view Asian
culture from a new perspective and to absorb elements from a different cultural tradition.
Students will be charged an additional Studio Art Fee when enrolling in this course. This is an area 6 Global Awareness course.
This class may be completed for a total of six credits. Students will be charged an additional Studio Art Fee when enrolling in this course. Prerequisite(s):
ARTS 1050 AND ARTS 1200 Credits: 3.0
