CHIN 4000 Seminar Chinese Literature and Culture

This seminar is designed to expand students’ knowledge of Chinese literature and culture through reading and discussion of major works in Chinese. It delves into major trends and issues, secondary scholarship, and research methodology in the field. The seminar requires students to read critically and to analyze and write about texts of Chinese literature and culture using both traditional Chinese research methods and Western critical approaches. Taught in Chinese. This is a Writing Intensive course. Prerequisite(s): ASN 2000 OR CHIN 2000
