COMM 2220 Media Law and Ethics A study of the First Amendment rights and responsibilities of the media and the role the U.S. Supreme Court plays in reviewing those cases. Students will study the legal protections and ethical responsibilities that arise when gathering news across multimedia platforms. Constitutional protections and ethical obligations will be central in discussions of defamation, privacy, and obscenity. Credits: 3.0
