BIO 4150 Evolutionary Physiology Advanced study of the evolution of the physiology of multicellular organisms. Course will address the evolutionary mechanisms driving diversification of physiological processes with a focus on animals and plants. Both form/function and phylogenetic explanations for physiological traits will be examined, as will be the impact of physiological constraints on evolutionary processes such as adaptation and speciation.
This course has a biology lab fee. Prerequisite(s): BIO 2040 , BIO 2050 and BIO 2060 with a minimum grade of C-. Credits: 4.0
