COMM 4230 Crisis and Reputation Management


This course explores the strategic crisis and reputation management process through the stages of pre-crisis, during-crisis, and post-crisis. This course will cover effective, proactive crisis and reputation management. Students will examine real-world global and local crisis cases and learn how to use effective communication techniques and social media tools and programs to successfully anticipate, navigate, and manage crisis and reputations for organizations. By the end of this course, students will understand the integral roles of public relations or corporate communication professionals in crisis and reputation management and learn various skills in social media listening, monitoring, and analytic programs.
