PSY 6100 Human Growth and Development I This year-long course sequence aims to provide a foundation for understanding human behavior across the lifespan. It covers the biological and environmental bases of human development, theories and research on the development of personality, cognition, social relations and the cultural and systems contexts of adaptive and maladaptive behavior. The course provides a theoretical and research base for how counselors can change human behavior (e.g., psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions). (6 credits; taken in conjunction with PSY 6110 ) Credits: 3.0
