ATP 5200 Pharmacology in Athletic Training

This online course is intended to introduce athletic training students to pharmacological agents and their composition, indications, routes of administration, and effects on the body. Prescription and over-the-counter drugs are covered, as well as ergogenic aids, recreational drugs, and illegal substances. Laws and regulations regarding the use, administration, and dispensing of drugs are also covered.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 1120, BIO 1130, and SMED 2000, SMED 2200, SMED 2400, SMED 3000 and admission to the Master’s in Athletic Training Program.
