PBHL 5200 Research for Public Health Practice This course provides graduate students a foundation in quantitative and qualitative tools required for public health research. The course provides a theoretical introduction to various public health research methodologies and applied experience for engagement in public health research. Students will learn how to formulate a research question and distinguish between common study designs for characterizing determinants of disease. Students will develop basic research skills needed to plan, conduct, and analyze data from a survey research project, as well as qualitative data analysis, including the role of qualitative data management.
