BIO 1120 General Anatomy and Physiology I A study of the structural and functional relationships of the human body. This is the first in a two-semester sequence course to provide an-in depth foundation in human anatomy and physiology. Students will study the human as an individual organism, cell functions, histology, integumentary, skeletal, muscular, respiratory, and circulatory systems. The laboratory component includes dissection of the cat and exercises illustrating the human skeleton.
UCC Area H (Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Natural Sciences) Course Objectives: Explore and engage in processes, techniques, and strategies that foster curiosity, promote inquiry, and yield well-reasoned conclusions and solutions concerning humans and the world they live in. Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Nursing General BS, Nursing RN BS, Athletic Training BS, Exercise Science BS, Physical Education K-12 Certification BS, and Physical Education K-12 with Health Certification BS.
