ENG 3150 Romantic Movement in England


Critically studies Romantic poetry and prose within the contexts of literary and cultural history. The course addresses the works’ thematic content and form as well as issues such as gender, class, nation, ethnicity, religion, and education. Authors may include Blake, Wollstonecraft, Baillie, Burns, Wordsworth (William and Dorothy), Coleridge, Scott, Byron, Shelley (Percy and Mary), Hemans, Keats, and the Brontes. Prerequisite(s): ENG 1500 Â
