MATH 1150 College Algebra


A comprehensive study of algebraic expressions, equations, and functions.  Topics include the real number system, exponents and roots, solving equations and inequalities, functions and their graphs, and polynomial and rational functions.  This course covers the fundamental concepts and skills of algebra, preparing students for further study in mathematics as well as developing number sense, logical analysis, and numerical reasoning.
