PBHL 1100 Healthy U


This course is about health issues that are relevant to young adults. It explores how personal health behaviors shape both positive and negative health outcomes over one’s life course. This course will equip students with strategies for changing health behaviors for the better in key areas including mental health and stress management, sexuality, alcohol and drug use, diet, weight management, and fitness, while acknowledging that individual health behaviors may be constrained by broader determinants of health. By exploring the role of personal health behaviors it aims to equip students will skills to support lifelong health.

UCC Area A (Well-Being): This course provides students with the core skills and knowledge for managing personal well-being, such as physical, mental, emotional, ethical, social, academic, and/or financial factors.

Mutual exclusion: Students may not enroll in this course if they have completed any of the following courses with a passing grade, or if they are concurrently registered for any of the following courses:  CMHL 120, PBHL 120, PBHL 1200, PBHL 1300
