WGS 3530 New Jersey’s Immigrant Communities


New Jersey is one of the most diverse states in the U.S. This course will provide an in-depth knowledge of local histories, demographics, and the lived experiences of New Jersey immigrant communities. The course will analyze migration theories, U.S. immigration history, and the impacts of local and national policies on immigrant communities. Assignments in the course will connect knowledge and action, explore ways to participate in community life, and advocate for NJ’s immigrant communities.
