ARTH 2300 Italian Renaissance Art Examines one of the most creative and prolific periods in Italian art and cultural history, from circa 1250 to 1600. The course places some of the most famous works of Western art in their historical and cultural contexts, by examining private, civic, and religious patronage, art theory, visual narrative, and artistic collaboration. Artists to be studied include Giotto, Donatello, Raphael, Titian, and Michelangelo. Prerequisite(s): ARTH 1010 OR ARTH 1100 Credits: 3.0
