MATH 2000 Logic and Methods of Higher Mathematics An introduction to rigorous reasoning through logical and intuitive thinking. The course provides logical and rigorous mathematical background for study of advanced math course. Students are introduced investigating, developing, conjecturing, proving, and disproving mathematical results. Topics include formal logic, set theory, proofs, mathematical induction, partial ordering, relations, and functions. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1600 Credits: 3.0
