PSY 4150 Psychopharmacology To provide a groundwork for this course in the neurosciences, a behaviorally oriented overview of nervous system functioning and biochemistry is integrated with discussions of basic pharmacological principles and biobehavioral research methods. Emphasis is placed on understanding the mechanisms of these drugs at molecular, cellular, and neurophysiological levels; the similarities and differences in mechanisms between drugs; and the experimental paradigms utilized to arrive at the findings.
