CODS 5540 Grammatical Structures for Language Analysis This course provides an introduction to English grammar. It describes basic grammatical categories, the structure of noun phrases and verb phrases, as well as types of simple and complex sentences. Inflectional morphology, thematic roles, and narratives are also discussed. Students learn to analyze the form and functions of sentence constituents as well as narratives. Credits: 1.0
