MUSI 5270 Wind Literature

A study of literature for wind ensembles from its earliest years to the present. Concert bands and relevant literature will be studied from a historical viewpoint including the three primary functions of band music (service, art, education). Relevant repertoire for all phases of student development will be studied and analyzed, with an emphasis on that from the 20^th and 21^st centuries.
