CMAT 6830 Action Research in Clinical Settings


The purpose of this course is to provide a capstone to the Master of Arts in Teaching clinical experience through identifying, planning, and implementing an action research project that improves teaching and learning.  The course builds upon the initial reflection of effective teaching practices in CMAT 6220  . The primary aim of the course is to learn the basic principles of action research, identify problems that inhibit/enhance learning, and implement strategies to bring about change. Through an understanding of action research methods, candidates will complete an action research project in their school setting that is related to improving student outcomes.
     Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the K-6 MAT program; EDUC 5170  ; EdUC 5250
