ARTS 5910 Visual Literacy and the Interpretation of Meaning Through lectures, discussions, readings, and assignments in visual literacy, study visual language and how meaning is expressed archetypally in formalist, symbolist, surrealist, conceptual, psychological, mythological, and transcendental art. Interpret the meaning of peer work through guided practice. Oral presentation and written paper are required. Students will be charged an additional Studio Art Fee when enrolling in this course. Credits: 3.0
