CS 6010 Computers in the Information Age

To introduce fundamental concepts of computers, information systems, and computer applications, as well as their interrelationships and impact upon society. Topics include history, hardware and software of computer; data-communication and networking; simulation and games; productivity packages (word processing, spreadsheet and database); appreciation of graphics and artificial intelligence and future trends.
