TBED 6520 Bilingualism as an Individual and Societal Phenomenon A critical analysis of selected issues in individual and societal bilingualism and bilingual education in international settings. The course covers different types of bilingualism; analysis of bilingual speech; functions of languages in multilingual settings; problems of multilingual nations in establishing national and standardized languages, and linguistic and sociocultural factors affecting the education of language minority students.
