PBHL 7500 Capstone Seminar In Public Health


The capstone project will provide students with a culminating seminar experience in which they will demonstrate the knowledge, competencies, and skills learned in MPH program in the form of a major writing project. The final project demonstrates students’ understanding of chosen public health issue, and their ability to actively apply coursework knowledge towards advancing a solution to the public health issue. The written product will provide a deliverable that can be used by the community, agency, or group to address the public health issue. Examples of capstone projects include (but not limited to) a grant application to a specific funding agency, research project report, policy analysis, education/outreach project involving a community, and/or evaluation of existing public health program.
