SWK 3500 Psychopathology and Well-Being This course introduces students to the methods by which the helping professions classify and diagnose neurological diversity. Students will learn about the most common clusters of psychological symptoms and how to categorize them using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V). The course will also review common treatments for, and plausible causes of mental health conditions. Students will learn about the limitations of clinical diagnosis, specifically as they affect stigmatized and marginalized populations.
