MATH 1160 Precalculus A comprehensive study of the exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions. Topics include function properties, exponential and logarithmic functions (their properties and graphs), solving exponential and logarithmic equations, trigonometric functions (their properties and graphs), trigonometric identities and solving trigonometric equations. This course introduces and investigates these important transcendental functions including their properties and applications. In doing so, this course further develops numeracy and logical reasoning.
UCC 2.0-Area C:Quantitative Literacies
Prerequisite(s): MATH 1150 with a grade of C- or better; Placement Test, or by permission of the Chair of Mathematical Sciences.
